Kinda putting this thing off until after my exams, too much time being wasted not learning and all that, also I kinda of need to get a job so I can buy parts and stuff. so yeah, slow progress, sorry (if anyone's remotely bothered by that)

Busying myself with studies of the bible and such

Upon closer inspection i've descovered that i can't actually use the capacitors. the capacitors from the PC power supplys are 200wv (working volts) which means if i put them in a circuit with my other 330v caps, they would explode, and i don't have enough of them to make it worth using them instead of the 330v ones.  Never mind then eh.

Ok, so i read somewhere online that you can get some pretty big capacitors from computer power supply units, and it just so happened that i had about 5 old PCs kicking about in my loft. Naturally i scrambled up the stairs and ripped them apart as fast as possible with my trust screwdriver.

And these are what i found (the paperclip is there for size comparison). in one of the power supply units i found two 200v 330uf capacitors. I'm gonna assume that they are very powerful, because they are bigger than the ones i had before, although the voltage was higher than my older ones, so i won't be able to use them at the same time. Which sucks.

so, yeah so far i've found a bunch of instructables to help. i've taken apart about 30 or so disposable cameras to get the capacitors and i'm ready to start soldering the camera boards. Sorry this isn't very detailed, bur i started this site after i'd done quite a bit of work on this thing.
